The Participating Regattas were:
Limerick Regatta
Castleconnell Sprint Regatta
Carlow Regatta
Athlone Regatta
Fermoy Sprint Regatta

The winning Castleconnell crews were presented with their winning Waterways Ireland medals at the recent Carrick on Shannon Regatta. Well done to the crews and to their coaches for a great season!
Carrick-On Shannon Regatta and the Inaugural Dragon Boat Invitational Race
For the first time in many years Castleconnell Junior crews took part in the Carrick-on- Shannon Sprint Regatta over the August Bank Holiday Weekend. Around 50 Club Members travelled to Carrick-on Shannon for the weekend and celebrated the end of a successful season and took part in the lightning fast sprint event.
Castleconnell juniors didn’t let the side down and came away with wins in MJ12 1x, MJ16 2x, MJ16 4x+, MJ15 4x+, WJ14 2x but the race of the day was undoubtedly, The Inaugural Dragon Boat Invitational Race!
Despite some dodgy helmsmanship J….Castleconnell managed to finish ahead of their friends in the Shandon-Fermoy composite boat. It was a wonderful spectacle and epitomised the excellent and friendly spirit of the Regatta and clubs involved.
Many thanks to Carrick Boat Club for welcoming us and for a great regatta.
